Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-11-01
These terms apply when you use justskijapan.com (the “Site”) and Just Ski’s information and booking-help service (the “Service”). By using the Site or sending us a request you agree to them. Please also read our Disclaimer, Cancellation policy and Privacy policy.
1. What we do — and what we don’t
Just Ski provides free information about skiing and snowboarding in Japan and free help contacting local rental shops and ski schools (for example checking availability, prices and pick-up rules, and helping with Japanese). We do not rent equipment, run lessons or take payments. Your rental or lesson contract is made directly between you and the shop or school, under its own terms, and you pay them directly. We are not the agent, representative or guarantor of any shop or school, and we do not arrange transport or accommodation.
2. How our help works
- You send a free request. It is not a booking and you owe nothing.
- We contact shops and tell you what they offer — availability, price and their rules — usually within 1 business day (Japan time). This is information from the shop and may change.
- If you decide to book, you book with the shop (we can help you do so). The booking is confirmed only when the shop confirms it.
We do our best but cannot guarantee that a shop will reply, have stock, or keep a price.
3. Prices
Prices on the Site are examples taken from shops’ published rates, usually per adult per day, and may be out of date. The price that applies is the one the shop gives you when you book. Our help is currently free of charge. If we ever introduce a fee or online payment, we will show it clearly before you agree to anything.
4. Your information
Please give accurate details (dates, heights, boot sizes, ability, contact). Shops prepare gear based on what you tell them. You are responsible for the details you provide for other people in your group and for having their permission.
5. Safety and your responsibility
Skiing and snowboarding carry a real risk of injury and death. You take part at your own risk. Follow resort rules, ski patrol and lift staff, ride within your ability, stay inside open areas (use official backcountry gates only with proper equipment, training and partners), supervise children, and have travel insurance that covers winter sports and rescue. Check equipment at pick-up and tell the shop immediately if anything is wrong.
6. Information and the AI assistant
Content on the Site (season dates, prices, transport, snow, restaurants, guides) is collected from official and public sources and checked periodically, but it can change or contain errors, and translations may differ from the English. Sukine, our chat assistant, is an AI and can make mistakes. Always confirm important details with the resort, shop or operator. See the Disclaimer.
7. Third parties and links
Shops, schools, resorts, transport and accommodation providers are independent businesses. We are not responsible for their services, prices, policies, safety, websites or actions. Links to other sites are for convenience only.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Just Ski is not liable for loss or damage arising from the services of shops, schools or other third parties, from accidents or injuries during skiing or travel, from weather, snow, resort closures or transport disruption, or from reliance on information on the Site or from the AI assistant. Where we are liable to you, our liability is limited to direct damage actually and foreseeably caused. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under Japanese law, including under the Consumer Contract Act, or liability for our intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
9. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Site or the AI assistant: no automated scraping, excessive requests, attempts to break security, spam, or unlawful content. We may limit or block access to protect the Service.
10. Intellectual property
Text, design, the Just Ski name and logo and the Sukine character belong to Just Ski. Resort names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify places. Photos are used under their licences.
11. Changes, law and disputes
We may change the Service or these terms; the version shown on the Site applies from its date. These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, and the Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance, without affecting mandatory consumer rights you have. If a translation differs from the English text, the English text prevails, except where Japanese law requires otherwise.
