How can we help?

📅 Booking help

How does Just Ski work?

Tell us your resort, dates and sizes. We check with local rental shops and reply within 1 business day with availability, the shop's price and its rules, and help you book. Our help is free; you book and pay the shop directly.

How far ahead should I ask?

Any time from now for December to April. For New Year (28 Dec – 3 Jan) and Lunar New Year (6–14 Feb 2027), ask 3–4 weeks ahead. Most shops need at least 48 hours.

Can you help a group or family?

Yes. Use the Family pack builder to add adults and children and see an estimate, then send one request for everyone.

Can I choose the rental shop?

Yes. After you pick your resort we show the shops there with their pick-up, hotel delivery and return rules. Listing a shop does not mean it is our partner.

Is a request a booking?

No. A request is free and has no obligation. A booking exists only when the shop confirms it.

💳 Prices & payment

Do I pay Just Ski?

No. Our information and booking help are free at the moment. You pay the rental shop or school directly, in the way it accepts.

Are the prices on the site exact?

No. They are examples from shops' published rates, usually per adult per day, and may change. The shop confirms the exact price when you book.

Which currency?

Shops charge in Japanese yen. Your bank may add a currency conversion fee if you pay by card.

🔁 Changes & cancellation

Can I change or cancel?

Yes, but bookings are with the shop, so its own change and cancellation rules apply. We send you those rules before you book and can help you contact the shop.

Who gives refunds?

The shop or school, under its own policy. We don't take payments, so we can't issue refunds ourselves.

What if the resort is closed?

It depends on the shop's and resort's policies. We'll help you ask.

🏂 Pick-up, delivery & return

Where do I collect my gear?

At the shop you booked, at the time in your confirmation. Bring the shop's booking confirmation and your passport.

Can gear be delivered to my hotel?

Only where the shop offers it. About 28 of the shops we list deliver to hotels; the fee and area follow each shop's rules, which we tell you before you book.

What if my boots don't fit?

Most shops swap sizes on the spot. Tell the staff right away.

How do I return the gear?

Each shop has its own return time and place, shown in the shop's confirmation. Some shops (for example multi-store chains) accept returns at any of their stores.

What if something gets damaged or lost?

The shop's own rental rules apply. Some offer optional damage insurance at pick-up.

📏 Sizes & gear

Which boot size do I need?

Japan uses centimetres (mondopoint). Our booking flow converts US, UK and EU shoe sizes for you; the shop confirms the fit at pick-up.

What is in each pack?

Beginner pack: board or skis, boots, jacket and pants, helmet, goggles, gloves and beanie. Experienced pack: performance or premium board/skis and boots; add wear or a helmet if you need them. Exact contents depend on the shop.

Do you have kids' gear?

Yes. Kids' sets start from about ¥3,300 a day at listed shops, and many shops have kids' wear and helmets.

Can I bring my own boots?

Yes. Choose single items and book only what you need.

👧 Lessons & kids

Can you help with lessons?

Yes. We list ski schools with English-speaking instructors, including kids' programs from age 3 and childcare in some areas. Kids' full-day programs start from about ¥15,000.

Do lessons include lift tickets?

It depends on the school; some include them, most don't. We tell you before you book.

🔐 My trips, privacy & security

How do I see my bookings?

Open My trips and sign in with the email you booked with. We email you a one-time sign-in link — there is no password.

Who sees my details?

Only our team and the rental shop or school we contact for you, just enough to check availability and prepare your gear. We don't sell personal data.

Is Sukine always right?

No. Sukine is an AI assistant and can make mistakes. It can't make bookings, promises or refunds. Please confirm important details with the shop or resort.

Can you delete my data?

Yes. Send a privacy request through the contact form and we'll confirm when it's done.

Is this email really from Just Ski?

Our emails come from @justskijapan.com. We never ask for your password, card number or payment by email or chat.

💬 Contact & emergencies

Can I call you?

We don't have a phone line. Ask Sukine (bottom right) for instant answers, or email hello@justskijapan.com / use the contact form: you get an automatic reply right away and a person replies within 1 business day (Japan time).
